A Piece of Cleveland(“APOC,” “we,” or “us”) operates apieceofcleveland.com. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, the third-party services that help us operate, and your choices. Plain English, no surprises. When you submit an inquiry or commission request, we collect the information you enter on the form: your name, email address, phone number, and a description of the project. We use it only to respond to your inquiry, scope the project, and follow up.
We use a privacy-first analytics tool (Plausible Community Edition, self-hosted on our own server) to count page views and referral sources. Plausible does not set cookies and does not collect personal information. It records aggregate counts of page views, the page URL, the referring site (e.g. google.com), and your country derived from your IP address. Your IP address itself is hashed and discarded.
When you click any link to call us or email us from the site, or start filling out the inquiry form, we record an internal event for that interaction (e.g. “call link clicked,” “form started,” “form submitted”) so we can understand which pages and offers actually generate interest. These events do not include the contents of what you type until you submit the form.
When you call our number (216) 677-9435, the call is routed through CallRail, which records the call duration, the originating phone number, and the campaign source if applicable, then forwards the call to us. CallRail also records the audio of the call. We use this data only to understand which marketing channels lead to real conversations and to improve how we respond to inquiries. Recordings are retained per CallRail’s retention defaults and are not shared publicly. If you do not want your call recorded, please mention it at the start of the call and we will note it.
When we run paid advertising (search ads, social ads), we share limited conversion data with the advertising platforms so they can measure ad performance. Before any contact information leaves our server, we hash it using SHA-256. That means email addresses and phone numbers are converted into irreversible cryptographic fingerprints — the platforms can match a fingerprint to a known user on their side, but they never receive your raw email address or phone number from us.
The advertising platforms we plan to use are Meta (Facebook / Instagram) and Google Ads. As of the “Last updated” date below, neither integration is live yet — when one is activated, this policy is updated and the change date is moved forward before any data is sent.
Future processors (Meta and Google for advertising measurement) will be added to this list before they receive any data.
We do not set marketing cookies on this site as of the “Last updated” date below. Plausible is cookieless. Your browser may set a single session cookie to remember short-term form state. When we activate Meta and Google advertising integrations, those services will set their own cookies in your browser; this policy will be updated to disclose them before they are active.
You can request that we delete the inquiry information you submitted at any time by emailing info@apieceofcleveland.com. We honor deletion requests within 30 days. If you are in California or another jurisdiction with privacy rights laws (CCPA, GDPR), you can also request a copy of the personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, and opt out of any future advertising data sharing — same email address.
You can opt out of analytics on this site by enabling “Do Not Track” in your browser; we honor that header. You can opt out of phone-call recording on a call-by-call basis by mentioning it at the start of the call.
The site is intended for adults inquiring about wood and furniture commissions. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
When we change this policy in any meaningful way, we update the “Last updated” date below. We will not start sharing data with a new processor before the policy reflecting that processor is live.
